Dang!!! It’s already Sunday night.. Almost time to sleep… I just needed to pen this down…

I can really heave a HUGE sigh of relief… Hehe… Actually, I rented a car over the weekends… I had jitters in my stomach when I went to get the car.. It got worse when I wasn’t used to the car!!! Oh goshy.. What would happen if I scratched the car or something?! Oh goodness.. The jitters were bad till I couldn’t even have a proper meal.. Sheesh..

The purpose of renting the car was to bring my parents out to shop…

On Satuday, we went to Bugis - Arab Street.. Traffic was darn heavy… Lots of one way streets too.. Thank god I could find my way to the parking space @ Golden Landmark Hotel.. Haha.. Over there was much more interesting… The carpark had lifts for cars.. It was actually quite scary.. My mum sorta panicked a little… hehe…

After shopping @ Bugis (we got quite a few things over there), we went over to Geylang.. That was another place congested with cars.. Really.. Saturdays and Sundays are jammed packed with cars.. But it was quite ok.. Managed to park over @ Tanjong Katong open air carpark… Did a little bit of shopping and ate over there…

Initially, the plan was to head home after Geylang.. But my aunt called to ask if we were going to our uncle’s house (he was shifting house). By then I was on my way down to Eunos to get to PIE (Jurong)… Hehe.. we went out from Eunos to Bedok to go help our Uncle… Hehe… Den.. it’s time to head home.. Since we were on our way towards the West area, I sent my uncle home over @ Woodlands..

That was just on Saturday… I still had Sunday left… wow.. the jitters were still there… I couldn;t even swallow my bread.. sheesh.. I sent my dad over to Yishun where he had his weekly massage (Ayurveda therapy).. We managed to reach there and back home in safe condition.. God’s Blessing.. Den the whole family went out to visit my aunt.. the trip there and back home was smooth sailing.. hehe…

Wow!!! I can’t believe that I have traveled over quite a distance with the car.. God’s will, I managed to reach the destinations with ease… Phew!!! What a relief.. To me, that was really a huge success… Ever since the small incident with the first rental car, I had lost some confidence in my driving skills. Not only that, I got scared just to drive again… It took me 2 months to pluck up the courage to drive… I managed to only vaguely remember how to park.. haha…

Moreover, the car that I managed to get was Honda FIT… Man, One of the cars which I wanted to try out at least once to see how big / small it is and how smooth driving it can be… It was kinda cool.. Parking was a breeze.. Since the car is quite small… But my parents kinda liked it.. They said it was roomy enuf (over @ the passenger seats)… One important thing… It was roomy enuf for my big bro.. hehe… So yeah.. My dad said that when we (the family) decide to get a car, we can opt for Honda FIT / JAZZ… Hehe.. Cool…

I should try to commit to driving at least once a month for a day (planned outing)… So that I can familiarise myself with the roads and the expressways… (Not that I can remember how to go there anywayz..) Hehe.. This way, I wouldn’t feel so out of it when I drive cars… But I really like the small Honda cars.. The parking lah.. damn easy… hehe… It would much cooler if we have our own car.. At least if I scratch it, I wouldn’t feel so guilty… hehe…
